What Makes a Password Strong?
Length beats complexity. A long password with a mix of character types is far harder to crack than a short one with a few symbols. The strongest passwords are:
- At least 16 characters long
- A mix of uppercase, lowercase, numbers and symbols
- Random — not based on names, dates, or dictionary words
- Unique to each account
How to Generate a Strong Password
Step 1: Open the Password Generator Go to the Kinsutools Password Generator — it runs entirely in your browser.
Step 2: Set the options Choose the length with the slider and toggle uppercase letters, numbers and symbols on or off to match the site's requirements.
Step 3: Generate and copy Click Generate for a fresh random password, then copy it with one click.
Why Use a Generated Password?
Passwords created in your head tend to follow patterns that attackers' tools predict. This generator uses the browser's cryptographic random number generator, so each password is genuinely unpredictable. Nothing is sent to a server or stored anywhere.
Tips for Password Safety
- Use a password manager to store unique passwords for every account.
- Never reuse the same password across important accounts.
- Enable two-factor authentication wherever it's offered.
